The Collage

15 May

One more day until summer break, but I must admit — my heart is already in the zone of good books, traveling, summer flicks, and well…SLEEP!

Being as I haven’t blogged in several weeks, I felt that it would be appropriate to simply give a sampling of the collage of pictures I have taken. It’s a little random, but I’ll try to briefly explain the situation surrounding the pictures as best as I can.

This is one of my darling sisters and her fiance, who just happen to be getting married in about a week. The umbrella is a little random — photo prop for a previous assignment — but still fun, regardless.

These are my nephews, sporting their Bob Marley costumes. I loved the expressions on their faces; it tells so much about their own little personalities.

This picture was a complete accident, as I was trying to take a shot of the moon on a timer, and the camera slipped right at the last instant, and picked up a light outside and some bushes around the house. Given, it’s a strange shot, but it worked as inspiration for what will hopefully be some later photo shoots using this technique. I really enjoy experimental photography to create unexpected frames.

A friend’s granddaughter watches a movie on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I loved the sleepiness felt by the shot, the one eye peeing over the blankets to catch a glimpse of the screen.

The girl in the previous shot’s bunny sat in a chair outside, I suppose left over from a tea party or some other imaginative outing.

Also, the girl’s bike was parked in front of the house. The yard was gracefully littered with childish playthings, making me miss being young and free.

And last, but not least, the food shot — a Saturday morning breakfast (pretty much the only day I seem to have time to eat breakfast). It was delicious, by the way.

More food pictures to come, as I help prepare the long list of delights for my sister’s wedding. Time to get my nose out of the books and my duff into the kitchen!

Until next time (but hopefully not quite as long as last time),

LoveByrd
